## How LTX 2.5 works

Move seamlessly from initial text or image prompt to fine-tuned audio-visual generations and targeted timeline retakes.

### Frame the Scene

Input a descriptive text prompt or upload an initial reference image to establish the starting frame composition, palette, and subject.

### Select Generation Mode

Choose Fast for quick iteration, longer clips and up to 4K output, or Pro for quality-optimized final shots at up to 1080p.

### Direct Retakes and Audio

Generate synchronized sound alongside the picture, or connect an existing video to retake a time window, replacing its picture, its audio, or both.

## What LTX 2.5 is good at

Lightricks' open-source audio-video model generates picture and sound together in a single pass, from a text prompt or a still image.

### Synchronized Audio-Visual Generation

Video and audio are generated together in one pass, so ambience, Foley and dialogue land in sync with the motion on screen without a separate audio tool.

### Surgical Retake Timeline Editing

Connect an existing clip and retake just a time window: fix a glitch, change a performance or replace the sound, without regenerating the whole video.

### Pro Quality for Final Shots

Pro mode is tuned for fidelity, with sharper texture and steadier lighting for hero shots at up to 1080p and up to 50 FPS.

### Rapid High-Throughput Drafting

Fast mode is built for rapid iteration: longer clips at 720p and 1080p, and resolutions up to 4K for shorter shots, so you can explore ideas before committing.

## What people build with LTX 2.5

From rapid storyboard drafts and e-commerce motion to surgical VFX corrections and master commercial assets.

### Cinematic Pre-Visualization

Filmmakers and pre-visualization supervisors use Fast mode to draft dynamic camera paths, scene pacing, and temp sound design before committing compute to final takes.

### Commercial Product Reveals

Brand studios and agencies render hero product shots in Pro mode, with synchronized Foley that mirrors the physical behaviour of the objects on screen.

### Surgical Scene Retakes

VFX teams fix flawed character expressions, eliminate localized visual distortions, or replace dialog lines on existing clips without restarting generation from scratch.

### Dynamic E-Commerce Lookbooks

Fashion labels animate studio lookbook images into fluid video sequences, preserving garment drape, texture fidelity, and natural walking rhythms with matching footsteps.

### Music Video Motion Art

Musicians and visual artists create atmospheric looping scenes and visualizers paired with native ambient audio beds for track launches and streaming canvases.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### How is LTX 2.5 related to LTX-2?

LTX 2.5 is the newer release of Lightricks' open-source LTX-2 audio-video model family. Fuser's LTX node now runs LTX 2.5 for text-to-video and image-to-video, and uses LTX-2.3 for retakes, which LTX 2.5 does not offer.

### What is the difference between Fast mode and Pro mode?

Fast mode is built for speed and range: it renders at 720p up to 4K and supports clips up to 20 seconds at 720p or 1080p and 25 FPS; higher resolutions and 50 FPS are limited to 10 seconds. Pro mode is quality-optimized, renders at 720p or 1080p, and supports clips up to 10 seconds.

### How does the Retake feature work?

The Retake workflow performs surgical timeline edits on an existing video clip without re-rendering the whole sequence. By defining a start time and duration, you can choose to replace only the audio, replace only the visual frames to fix localized glitches or facial expressions, or regenerate both streams simultaneously.

### Does LTX 2.5 generate audio and video at the same time?

Yes. With audio enabled, LTX 2.5 generates synchronized ambience, Foley and sound effects in the same pass as the video, matched to the motion on screen.

### What are the main limitations of LTX 2.5?

Like other video models, LTX 2.5 is less reliable with legible on-screen text, flat 2D graphic animation and very fast action with rapid cuts. It is strongest on physically grounded, cinematic shots with deliberate camera movement.
