Standard generation builds new images and typography entirely from your text prompt, whereas Remix uses an existing image as a structural foundation. In Remix mode, you can control the transformation using the strength parameter—lower values between 0.2 and 0.4 preserve original layouts while adjusting style or copy, while values above 0.8 allow sweeping visual reinventions.

The Edit variant performs targeted inpainting on a specific region of an uploaded image using a black-and-white mask. It allows you to modify isolated elements—such as replacing signage text, updating a logo, or altering a specific object—without regenerating or destabilizing the surrounding composition.

Ideogram v2 excels at typography rendering, commercial posters, brand mockups, packaging design, and structured layouts. It reliably generates legible text phrases of up to 12 words with accurate kerning and font hierarchy, seamlessly embedding letterforms into realistic materials like neon, embossed cardstock, and etched metal.

Ideogram v2 struggles with expressive, hand-drawn 2D illustration styles such as classic watercolor or traditional cel animation, often defaulting to a glossy 3D aesthetic instead. It can also experience logical errors when rendering complex multi-subject interactions or physically impossible spatial scenes.

Enclose all desired words in explicit double quotation marks within your prompt, such as "COFFEE" or "OPEN 24 HOURS". Specify casing, font styling, and material integration directly in the prompt text, and consider disabling prompt expansion when strict typographical accuracy is required.
