ElevenLabs Sound Effects excels at tactile foley, cinematic trailer impacts, environmental room tones, and synthetic cues. It reliably generates physical material interactions like footsteps and glass shatters, tension risers and sub-bass drops, game UI acoustic feedback, and atmospheric weather beds up to 22 seconds in length.
The model is not designed for full-length multi-track music compositions or intelligible spoken dialogue. It specializes in spot sound effects and environmental sound beds up to 22 seconds per generation, and very quiet reverb tails may occasionally carry subtle algorithmic noise.
You can specify a duration from 0.5 to 22 seconds, or leave it blank to let the model automatically estimate the natural acoustic envelope. Output formats include uncompressed lossless 44.1kHz PCM for DAW post-production, 48kHz Opus for web and game engines, and MP3 at bitrates ranging from 64kbps to 192kbps.
Prompt influence controls how strictly the audio synthesis follows your prompt text on a scale from 0 to 1. The default value of 0.3 provides natural acoustic nuance and variation for organic foley, while higher values between 0.6 and 0.8 enforce tighter adherence for precise, multi-stage mechanical sound cues.
